FLC Women (FLCW)

The First Lutheran Church Women (FLCW) is a community of women who come together for Bible study, programs, fellowship and mission. Through their fund raising efforts, they have donated over $20,000 to various agencies and organizations. Monthly Circles follow the study from the national WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) found in the "Gather" magazine.

First Lutheran has five Circles. You are welcome to join any of them for the above study and/or to participate in their stewardship projects:

Abigail Circle: Meets the 2nd Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
            Co-chairs – Lois Brown and Betty Johnson
            Stewardship Projects: Lenten Lunches, Nokomis Day Care and Youth Fund

Deborah Circle: Meets the 2nd Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.
            Chair – Harriett Light
            Stewardship Project: Kits for LWR (Lutheran World Relief)

Mary Magdalene Circle: Meets the 2nd Tuesday at 2 p.m.
            Chair – Mary Rasmussen
            Stewardship Project: YWCA and Quilters

Miriam: Meets the 2nd Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
            Chair - Lois Altenburg and Phyllis Peterson
            Stewardship Project: Sewing, School and Health Kits

Ruth Circle: Meets the 2nd Thursday at 1:30 p.m.

            Stewardship Project: New Life Center

Bible Study Briefings: Everyone is welcome! Circle study leaders attend a briefing of the upcoming month's study by Pastor Laurie the first Thursday of the month in the Gathering Place.
