I grew up in Moorhead, MN. My family attended Trinity Lutheran Church where I was confirmed in 1968. I graduated from Mounds View High School in Mounds View, MN. After graduating from Moorhead State College in 1975, I got my first "real" job, teaching orchestra at Bismarck High School in Bismarck, ND. In 1978, I married Rodney Weisser. We then moved to Colorado, which is where our daughter, Elizabeth, was born in 1980.

In 1984, my daughter, Beth, and I moved to Fargo, where I spent 27 years teaching orchestra at Ben Franklin Middle School. We were members of Olivet Lutheran Church for a number of years (where Beth was confirmed) before transferring to First Lutheran Church. I retired from teaching in 2011.

Currently, I enjoy four jobs. I have a private studio of violin and viola students, play violin in the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra and Dakota Rose String Quartet, and I am delighted to conduct the First Lutheran Chamber Orchestra.

My daughter makes her living in New York City as a violist in Talea Ensemble and working at Mannes School of Music. I miss having her in Fargo, of course, but my Shih-Tzu is good company. My brother also shares my home with me.

God has blessed me in so very many ways. I am tremendously thankful for my First Lutheran Church family and for the gift of music. Psalm 150:4, 6: "Praise him with the tambourines and processional. Praise him with stringed instruments and horns." "Let everything alive give praises to the Lord! You praise him! Hallelujah!"
