You’re invited to join us at First Lutheran to mark the beginning of Lent during our Ash Wednesday services on March 5*. Our Wednesday Fellowship will have their service at 12 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This will include distribution of ashes (receiving the sign of the cross on your forehead) and Holy Communion. This is a Christian tradition that reminds us to humble ourselves, turn away from our sins, and invites us to reflect on Christ’s ultimate sacrifice – dying to rescue us. Join us as we embark on this journey through Lent and take a closer look at the story of God’s rescue. We’ll explore key moments in scripture that highlight God’s acts of rescue. May God use the ashes of your past to create in you a new life in Him.
*There will be a soup luncheon following the 12 p.m. service. There will be no Wednesday Supper and no youth activities this evening.
