Serve FM Neighbors
First Lutheran has demonstrated a commitment toward efforts to decrease food insecurity locally and globally.
There are a variety of opportunities to sign up to serve as an individual, with a friend, or with family. Monthly meal ministry programs are run by volunteers who help with food preparation and delivery to local shelters. Other opportunities offered throughout the year engage volunteers to support our global mission partner, Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) at the FargoPack event and through summer fundraisers.
Volunteers are also needed to assist with Mission Soup Sundays, and our summer concert series food tents, which support both local and global mission partners. The impact we make in addressing food insecurity is only matched by the number of volunteers willing to serve.

SERVE GLOBAL PARTNERS
GLOBAL MISSION
God has a mission and that mission has a Church! We, as a church, get to be part of what God is doing and what God wants to do in the world. Through First Lutheran Church (FLC) and its Global Mission Committee, we are following Jesus’ invitation to be his witnesses to the ends of the earth. We have ongoing relationships with 15 long-term mission partners who are scattered around the world. In addition we partner with organizations and ministries around the world. We provide strength and support through prayer, financial support, and by sending First Lutheran folks on life-changing mission experiences.Â
In addition, our Global Mission Committee hosts a Global Mission Brunch where we invite special guests from around the world, enjoy a meal, and get excited about missions!
GLOBAL MISSION COMMITTEE
Our Global Mission Committee exists to connect people to God and to each other, making disciples in Jesus’ name. The committee meets monthly to discuss funding requests, host guests and/or mission workers, pray, and more.
