Dear First Lutheran Family,
On Wednesday, October 14, Cass County increased from a yellow to an orange designation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. An orange designation indicates high risk, and indeed, the number of cases has grown significantly the last several weeks. Therefore, it comes with the “strongest recommendation possible” that venues limit themselves to 25% occupancy and not to exceed a gathering of more than 50 people.
Because of this recommendation, and in consultation with leadership, we have decided to close the doors of First Lutheran Church effective tomorrow, Friday, October 16. It is important for us to follow the guidance of our elected officials and those who work in the health profession. It is about the health, safety, and well-being of our neighbor!
First Lutheran Church, while our building is closed, will continue its work through our online platform for Worship and Christian Education. A more detailed letter will follow in the days ahead concerning our continued response to this pandemic.
We are in this together and we will get through this together.
