My parents were instrumental in teaching me hard work, perseverance, and to be content in all that I have been given. I graduated from Frazee-Vergas High School and went on to attend Moorhead State University where I received my B.S. degree in Accounting. I have since sat for the CPA exam and still hold a CPA license. I attended Sunday School and was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vergas. I have taught Sunday School and been the Superintendent for the last 15 years. It has been an awesome joy to watch the children grow in their faith. I have honestly learned just as much from them as they have learned from me. I truly thank God for such an opportunity! A few years ago, my pickiness in a life partner paid off and God blessed me with an awesome man. My husband Matt, is my rock in all that I do. He reminds me to live in the moment when I am running ahead of myself. (And the patience that man has!!) Matt also plays the bass guitar in the First Lutheran band on Wednesday nights. I enjoy reading, traveling, and spoiling my nieces and nephews. I am truly excited to be given the chance to be First Lutheran’s Financial Manager. I look forward to working with the staff and the congregation to share Jesus Christ in all that we do here at First Lutheran Church.
