As of Fall 2020, we are excited to welcome Polly Kloster to our First Lutheran Family!

Polly will be taking on the Faith Community Nurse (FCN) role (formerly known as the Parish Nurse) at First Lutheran Church. In addition to filling the traditional role of FCN, she will be adapting programs and services to face all of the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Her depths of experience is impressive! She is a Registered Nurse, Faith Community Nurse and has taught in the Concordia College Parish Nurse Program, where she is also an Associate Professor in the Nursing Department. Her passion and experience are fueled by years of experience and service to the health and welfare of others.

Polly says, “I am eager to be involved in developing an expanded vision of this staff role through growth in the church’s community outreach. First Lutheran’s focus areas of worship, service, learning, caring, and sharing align with my core values. I understand this is an opportunity to revision the integration of service and caring both within and beyond the walls of the church.”

Polly has raised two sons, Michael and Aaron Dunn (both Oak Grove grads) and has two granddaughters. She loves time at the lake, time with family and friends, Bible studies, reading, music, traveling and cooking.
