Lord,
Today we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom that we enjoy every day. They each have followed in the footsteps of your son Jesus Christ in sacrificing their lives for the lives of others.
Lord we ask that you hold the men and women in our armed forces in your strong and protective arms, wrap them in your love and may they feel your presence as they sacrifice daily for our protection.
We also remember and pray for the families of our troops. We ask that you would bless their homes and provide them with peace, strength and all the provisions needed.
May you supply the men and women of our Armed Forces with courage to face each day and may they be able to trust in your love and in your power to accomplish the tasks set before them. We pray that the men and women in our armed forces would feel our love and support for them this day and always.
