COVID-19.
Physical distancing. Sheltering in place. Isolation. Fear. Uncertainty. Loneliness. Church scattered. Virtual reality. Online streaming. Zoom.
These are some of the words that describe our experience of this global pandemic. These last few months have been crazy as we have tried to adapt to a new normal and learn what it means to be a faith community without weekly face-to-face interaction.
People have found ways to stay connected. Television, radio, and online streaming has enabled people to worship in their homes. We are particularly thankful for this technology! It has been absolutely wonderful…but our deep, deep desire is to be face-to-face with each other again.
Our summer worship theme and preaching series is titled Face-to-Face. We will look at biblical and everyday encounters of people who have come face-to-face with the living God. Moreover, we will use the context of this global pandemic, to seek God’s face in new ways and through different circumstances of life. Our desire, as Christians, is to continually seek the face of God.
