Global Mission Brunch - A Global Mission Week Event🌎✝️!

Join us for a brunch catered by Heart-n-Soul Community Café and a chance to learn more about the work our global mission committee and church does to support God's work around the world. We'll have keynote speakers, Laura and Jorge, a couple we support who are doing mission work in Ecuador! Faith in Film: Mully - A Global Mission Week Event🌎✝️!
Friday November 15 | 6:30 - 9 p.m. | First Lutheran BibleMax Theatre
You're invited to a FREE movie night at First Lutheran Church! This movie night is a special part of our Global Mission Week at First Lutheran. Open to all ages, we'll watch downstairs in our BibleMax Theater. We'll show "Mully" (Rated: TV-14, viewer discretion advised) - a film about a homeless orphan in Kenya who becomes a lucrative businessman, only to give it all up and open an orphanage that today serves over 2,000 Kenyan children. Hope to see you there!

Mission Soup

You're invited to our next "Mission Soup"! This is a great time to enjoy homemade soup and connect with others. Free will offering or $5 to take your soup to go. Concordia College Christmas Concert and Lunch

REGISTRATION IS FULL/CLOSED - enjoy the concert! Join us for the 98th annual Concordia Christmas Concert, "Our Eyes, At Last, Shall See Him". We'll meet for lunch at First Lutheran and then travel together to the concert. Cost is $30/ticket (which includes the cost of lunch and transportation). Please make payments at the Welcome Desk.
Parent's Day Out

Faith in Film: The Nativity

Holiday Pops on Broadway: Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra
Saturday December 14 | Shows at 2 and 7 p.m. | Celebration Center
Tickets are now on sale for the 4th annual holiday performance by the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra this Christmas season at First Lutheran. You won't want to miss this beautiful performance conducted by Jane Linde Capistran and featuring Anthony Rohr - a versatile performer of operatic, musical theater, and contemporary styles. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for youth (age 18 and under)*. If you'd like to purchase a ticket online for the 2 p.m. concert, please follow this link. Men's Bible Study
Tuesdays | September 24 - November 19 | 7 p.m.
Men of all ages are invited to a Bible Study with Rollie Johnson. The group will study, "God is Closer Than You Think" by John Ortberg - a book that explores how you can have a closer relationship with God. The group watches a video, breaks into small group discussion groups for Bible Study, and digests what has been presented. It's a fantastic fellowship of laughter, prayer, and being real together. You're invited to join anytime it works with your schedule!

Bible Study on the Gospel of Matthew
Sundays | September 29 - November 24 | 10:35 a.m. | Adult Ed Room
Join Pastor Steve Wold as he leads you through the first book of the New Testament. The major themes include blessing and comfort, judgment and retribution, and a call to repentance with the promise of eternal life. The class includes major references to a new book titled, “The Gospel of Promised Blessings” by author Dr. Matthew Skinner, a New Testament professor at Luther Seminary. All are welcome to participate. See you there!
Both: Living Outside the Either/Or of Your Faith Book Study

REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED - stay tuned for more studies! Join a study on the book "Both: Living Outside the Either/Or of Your Faith" by Noel Brewer Yeatts. President of World Help, Noel Brewer Yeatts, challenges the traditional definition of missions to encompass both help and hope. Wednesday Supper Volunteers
Wednesdays | Various shifts from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
We invite you to join us in preparing, serving, and enjoying a sit down meal for our weekly Wednesday Supper served 4:45 - 5:45 p.m. each Wednesday evening. Volunteers are needed to help in a variety of ways to make this meal happen. Follow this link to view available time slots and register for a date and time that works for you. Mission Soup Sunday Volunteers
The third Sunday of each month | Various shifts from 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Each month small groups in our congregation come together to make homemade soups. On the third Sunday, all are invited to the Great Hall from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to buy these soups and sit in community to connect with each other over a delicious, warm meal. 100% of the proceeds go to our mission partners. We need volunteers to help set up, serve soup, and/or clean up around Sunday worship times for these monthy meals. Please follow this link to view available time slots and register to volunteer.
