drop caps E.pngven though we were unable to gather in person, we have been blessed with continuing worship together virtually. Every Sunday and Wednesday, services have been broadcast from our website and Facebook page. The Holy Spirit is not confined to a building and neither is the opportunity to glorify God.

Thank you to everyone who sent notes of encouragement and gratitude for the continued opportunity to “gather” as God’s people and worship him. The following are a few samples of people’s response to online worship.

"I miss walking into church and just feeling that kind of feeling of being ‘home’ and at peace, all rolled into one. Thank you for all you do for us through this pandemic!!”  - Sara

"Today’s Easter Service was wonderful! Please convey our thanks to staff. Watched it twice....online and on TV Ch. 11! Wonderful to hear Michael’s TOCCATA at close!” - Jeanne

I took it as God revealing His promise in a message on Palm Sunday! Thanks for the beautiful services during this time. We watch both the sanctuary and celebration side! God Bless you all at First Lutheran…. It was quite a profound message of hope and promise during these uncertain times!”  - MaryLee

"FLC has been amazing, we are very blessed with all of you.”  - anon.️

"I want to thank you for all that you do in my life. As I have watched services the last two weeks on-line I find myself blessed and in tears. Part of it may be that I miss my faith home and the amazing new worship space and the people in it. It might be the uncertainty of what will happen in the next few weeks or months. I believe it is the faith I have in God and my beautiful faith leaders that help keep my faith strong. I do feel God talking to me through you and I am very grateful for all of you. Jesus Bless you all!”  - Jeff

"I have them [my extended family] listening to FLC and it is bringing us closer together. I have two cousins who are Pastors so we are listening to Chaska, MN at 9:30, FLC at 11:00, and Anaheim, CA at 12:30. What a great way to spend Sunday morning. Thanks for your help in allowing this to happen for us. Stay safe and God bless.” - Linda

And we can attend both services every Sunday. For the last few weeks we have truly “worshipped together as a family” as Chad and his family are in Iowa City and Greta in Minneapolis are watching the same service and we have the chance to share together what was meaningful. Another plus, Chuck and I can sit closer together on the couch during worship than we do in the pew. We value and thank every person who is diligently keeping the office and the many other functions of the church going forward. I am continually in prayer for the health and protection of every one who enters the door of First at this time. Although we will not have our prayer walk as planned, I will be walking around First Lutheran praying the Spirit will be present and at work more powerfully than ever.” - Marie

"…please share with the staff when you can whether ZOOM or in person at a social distance, the “We miss you” video was wonderful. This note comes with a THANK YOU to all as you are missed as well.” - Marianna
