Who are we on Broadway? First Lutheran Church has been on Broadway for over one hundred years. Join us as we look back to see what this community of faith has done to make the Kingdom of God known in downtown Fargo and around the world.
What has our imprint of faith been and how does that imprint move us forward into the future? Together, we look back to see forward and claim our identity in Christ as the people of First on Broadway—called to live, love and lead like Jesus.
Broadway is the location of our church building, but Broadway is also the greatest stage for theatre in the world. We are called to let our light shine (Matt. 6:18) and nowhere do streetlights shine brighter than on Broadway. God told Moses he would give him descendants who outnumbered the stars in the sky (Gen. 15). Stars are born on Broadway, both on the stage and in the pews! In all of this, God is the show. God is the main character. The stage belongs to God. God will get done what God wants done On Broadway. Just as with the theatre, life is full of comedy and tragedy. God holds all of life together and all of us together on 619 Broadway.
