Faces of Easter | Lenten Worship Series 2023

“When they came to the place of the Skull, they crucified him along with two criminals.
One on his right and the other on his left. Jesus looked into their faces and
the faces of the crowd gathered and said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

– Luke 23:33-34

We are the faces of Easter. With the crowd and the criminals; with Peter and Judas and Mary, we are the faces that Jesus sees as he pleads with God for the forgiveness of sin. Each Wednesday in Lent, a character will be portrayed as the face of one Jesus died to save. Together, we will worship and turn our eyes to Christ – the face of Easter.
